A Sparkling Chicago Holiday
Day 1
Arrive in Chicago and visit Navy Pier decorated for the holidays. At the Pier see hundreds of lush decorated trees and thousands of sparkling lights in Winter Wonderfest filled with Holiday Magic. Travel up to the John Hancock Observatory for a unique view of the city and enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant that is a Chicago favorite.
Day 2
See the dazzling Nature of Gold exhibit at the Field Museum and have a special docent presentation. The exhibition features more than 100 breathtaking objects on loan from public and private collections all over the world. With a certified Chicago guide, see Chicago dressed for the holidays during a highlights tour. You will see the enchanting holiday windows at Macy’s, the City Tree and the glittering shops on the Magnificent Mile. Enjoy a traditional meal in the famous Walnut Room near the beautifully decorated Christmas tree and have time to shop on your own. Stroll through an authentic German Market with hand-blown glass ornaments and classic German products like nutcrackers, cuckoo clocks, beer steins, and Hummel figurines. See the city at night with its spectacular display of holiday lights.
Day 3
Be thrilled by Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light at the Museum of Science and Industry. This exhibit has more than 50 trees beautifully decorated by members of Chicago’s ethnic communities. Stroll through the trees on the Main Level, enjoy intermittent falling “snow” and savor the performances of various dance and choral groups every day of the week on the Holiday Stage, adjacent to the East Court.
