Day 1
Discover Chicago’s art, history, architecture, and culture during a fully-narrated tour of the city. Your tour will focus on iconic buildings designed by well-known architects and modern sculpture by famous artists. You will see the striking skyline, the amazing lakefront, the Magnificent Mile, and the historic Loop. Tour the Smith Museum of Stained Glass with its collection of 150 exquisite stained glass windows. Cruise down the Chicago River for some of the most unique views of the city’s architecture and visit the John Hancock Center, with its distinctive silhouette, to enjoy the views from the observatory. After time to refresh in your downtown hotel, enjoy dinner in a well-known Chicago restaurant.


Day 2
Tour Millennium Park, an award-winning center of art, architecture and landscape design, and visit the Art Institute of Chicago, with its outstanding encyclopedic collection with world famous impressionist works. You will have a guided Museum Highlights Tour and a tour of the American Art collection. Included amongst the treasures of the Art Institute are American Gothic by Grant Wood, Nighthawks by Edward Hopper and La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat. Enjoy dinner and a performance by the world-famous Chicago Symphony Orchestra.


Day 3
Tour the neighborhood of President Barack Obama, the University of Chicago, and sites from the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893. You will see Robie House, the quintessential Prairie Style house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and have a guided tour of the Smart Museum with its rare and priceless works of art, including paintings by the Chicago Imagists and the dining room table and chairs from the Robie House. At The Field Museum of Natural History, enjoy a guided tour of the Ancient Americas, showcasing artifacts from the Arctic to the tip of South America, and have time on your own to see the amazing Inside Egypt exhibit, the Art Lacquer of Japan, China, the Hall of Jades and much more.


Day 4
See the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright during a driving tour or walking tour of Oak Park and have an exclusive tour of his Home and Studio. It was in Oak Park that Wright developed his Prairie Style of architecture. Tour Unity Temple, a unique light-filled concrete church designed by Wright, and the Hemmingway Museum, host to permanent exhibitions that explore the author’s life and work. At a private Chicago club, enjoy a guided tour of one of the most important privately-held art collections in Illinois followed by dinner in this historic institution.


Day 5
See the spectacular work of Louis Comfort Tiffany during a tour of the Chicago Cultural Center. This building was originally the city library and is filled with glittering mosaics, breathtaking stained glass domes and art galleries. Take a special guided tour of the Museum of Contemporary Art, with its focus on art created from 1945 to the present day. The collection has a strong focus on surrealism, minimalism, conceptual photography, and work by Chicago-based artists. Your afternoon is free for your own exploration of Chicago.
