arrival at Cairo International Airport, transfer to the Meridian
Pyramids Hotel. Welcome
meeting at the hotel with our Egypt orientation
followed
by a welcome dinner at the hotel. Friday, February 13, 2009
Full
day visiting Memphis and Sakkara to see the Stepped Pyramid, the oldest
pyramid in ancient Egypt. See tombs with marvelous wall reliefs and
visit Dahshour to see the Red and Bent Pyramids. We will visit the
spectacular pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Saturday, February 14, 2009
Spend
the day in Alexandria
to
tour the Alexandria
National Museum, spectacular new Alexandria Bibliotheca and Qait-Bay
Fortress. Return to Cairo in
the evening.

A
day in Cairo visiting The Egyptian Museum, where you will see King
Tut’s treasures, the Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque, and hear Aladdin’s
presentation
on “Islamic Faith Through the Ages.”
We will have a special
dinner in Cairo.
Monday, February 16, 2009
After
breakfast transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Luxor to start
our Nile Cruise.
Tuesday, February 17, 2009
An
early morning visit to the West Bank of Luxor to see the Valley of the
Kings where more than 62 kings from ancient Egypt were buried. Our visit
will include admission to the tomb of King Tut, the Valley
of the Nobles, The Temple of
Queen Hatshepsut and the two Colossi of Memnon.
Aladdin’s
presentation on “Secrets of the Pyramids” will be today after we set
sail. Wednesday, February 18, 2009
Today
sail up the Nile to visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the God Horus, and
the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile God Sobek.
Aladdin
will give his presentation on “Modern
Egypt Today.”

Friday, February 20, 2009
After departing from the cruise, arrive at
the Botanical Garden by a traditional Egyptian boat, a felucca. Saturday, February 21, 2009
Today
we will visit the Old Coptic
Christian Church, the Coptic Museum, Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Bazaar
of Khan El Khalili. Tonight
will feature a festive farewell dinner at an Egyptian restaurant. Sunday, February 22, 2009
Transfer
to Cairo Airport for morning departure.
